How do you change a file name on Vista?

I have a file name on vista which, when right clicking, i cannot rename. also when i try to delete it, it says the file name is too long. help?How do you change a file name on Vista?You could try renaming from the command prompt. Syntax is: rename something.txt somethingelse.txt
