How do you change song names and artists?

I downloaded some songs but occasionally there would be an error in the artist or song name itself. For example, %26quot;linkoln park - one step closer%26quot; instead of %26quot;Linkin Park - One Step Closer%26quot;. To correct the error I would simply change the name of the file to fix it but once I put it on something like, Windows Media Player or itunes it would immediately change back into its original name, completely ignoring the change I made to it. Do I have to change the name of the song using some sort of special method or something because this is getting really annoying?How do you change song names and artists?If you put it in iTunes then right click the song, go to %26quot;Get Info%26quot;, then %26quot;Info%26quot; and you can edit the song title, artist, etc.

I am going through the name change process and decided to call the court to find out how much it cost to file the forms. In La county it's 320 bucks! Is there any other way to do this legally? Any cheaper way maybe? I also have to publish the legal notice of name change in a newspaper for 4 weeks, thats going to cost me 105 bucks. Man this name change process is expensive. Im changing my daughter's last name to my last name. Did anyone change their childs last name through court?

I live in California. And I have a court date set for a petition to change my daughter's name from her %26quot;father's%26quot; to my last name in a couple of weeks. I already filed the petition to change name in the local newspaper. The reason why I am changing her name is because he has been deported to Mexico, and will never be back. He does not exist in her memory, and he also relinquished his parental and financial responsibility to me and my fiance. Is there anything I should know before going into court? If not, it’s not legally binding. And I really doubt a judge would sign off on it because of the ‘fiance’ aspect. However, it can be presented/used for the purpose of a stepparent adoption, when fiance actually becomes the stepparent, which means after you marry. Assuming that’s the plan (for him to adopt the child) why are you changing the name now instead of just waiting until that happens, because at that point the name would just be changed again.Im changing my daughter's last name to my last name. We kept the original (bio-dad's) last name as a second middle name, so she wouldn't lose that part of her past, and added my husband's name to the end (so she has the same last name as our other kids). We did ask her what she wanted to do, and paid attention to what she wanted.

If the bio-dad has legally given up his parental rights (as in, signed the legal docs), then there shouldn't be an issue. It would be even easier in an adoption - there would be an additional reason to make the change. I agree that it's important to ask the child what she wants.

Windows XP moving back my files and changing file names back?

I have 9 folders which in the past I've deleted which have now re-appeared a few days ago. They are full of music tracks which I renamed and moved then deleted the folder, but now most (not all) are back again with the folders and changed back the file names to %26quot;01 Track 1%26quot; etc, or I capitalized and fixed up the file names, but computer has changed back to %26quot;22 guru - major game (prod. by domingo)%26quot;



I was ripping tracks in Windows Media Player from random CD's.



Now my folder names are:



Unknown Album (7-5-2008 6-45-12 PM)

Unknown Album (7-5-2008 6-45-13 PM)

Unknown Album (7-5-2008 6-45-14 PM)

Unknown Album (7-5-2008 6-45-15 PM)



etc all the way up to (7-5-2008 6-45-19 PM)



I've tried changing the file names back to what I previously had (capitalized etc) and moved them to another folder with the rest of my music but a few days later they move back again.



I don't know why this didn't happen to all the tracks???



But how can I fix this problem?

How do I stop the files moving back????Windows XP moving back my files %26amp; changing file names back?May be your windows media player is re-arranging the files itself. When it does this, it organizes your audio into folder hierarchies e.g.:



Artist Name\Album Name\track no-song title.wma



Since you ripped music using WMP probably this is what it did. To disable it:



* Open WMP options:

* Go to library tab

* Un-check %26quot;Rename music files using rip music settings%26quot;

* Un-check %26quot;Rearrange music in rip music folder using rip music settings%26quot;



Look for other similar options if any. These work in WMP11. I like this feature by the way.
