How do you change song names and artists?

I downloaded some songs but occasionally there would be an error in the artist or song name itself. For example, %26quot;linkoln park - one step closer%26quot; instead of %26quot;Linkin Park - One Step Closer%26quot;. To correct the error I would simply change the name of the file to fix it but once I put it on something like, Windows Media Player or itunes it would immediately change back into its original name, completely ignoring the change I made to it. Artist Name\Album Name\track no-song title.wma



Since you ripped music using WMP probably this is what it did. To disable it:



* Open WMP options:

* Go to library tab

* Un-check %26quot;Rename music files using rip music settings%26quot;

* Un-check %26quot;Rearrange music in rip music folder using rip music settings%26quot;



Look for other similar options if any. These work in WMP11. I like this feature by the way.

In the folder i have my music in i can see that not all the songs are from the same album, there's a gray name under them that says what album they are. I can only rename the title of the file not the gray name under it.
