my previous setup was just a name of my file w/o the type of file like %26quot;.etc%26quot; dot ehe please//.. is this a virus?Help please file name have change in something like .doc .wma etc with dots and file name?Problem:

If you rename a file without providing filename but only the extension i.e, .mp3 alone you will get an window with the message %26quot;Filename is required%26quot; it is the default behaviour. Its not an virus.

Solution:

1: You can provide the filename alone without extension i.e, just balala

2: You can provide the filename and with different extension i.e,

balala.own

I hope the above solution will resolve your issue

All the bestHelp please file name have change in something like .doc .wma etc with dots and file name? No, this is not a virus. Leave the file ending on there. The .xxx tells you what type of file it is, and tells your computer how to process it. A .mp3 file is a music file, whereas a .doc is a document file. If you want, you should be able to hide these extensions by following this website's instructions -

There is nothing to worry about, and you shouldn't get rid of a file extension. If you put .mp3 back on the end of that file, it will work fine again.Help please file name have change in something like .doc .wma etc with dots and file name? No, it is not a virus open My Computer, click on Tools, then Folder Options, then go to the View tab and search for and deselect the line that says %26quot;Hide extensions for known file types%26quot;.
