How can I change the name of a program in Add/ Remove Programs?

It's a long story, but I need to hide something. T~T Anyway, how can I change...well, for example...a file named AUDITION to a file named TOOLBAR (or something else) so TOOLBAR shows up in Add/Remove programs instead of AUDITION. If you open regedit (Start-%26gt;Run_%26gt; Type Regedit-%26gt; Hit OK) and navigate to the following registry section:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\

Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall



You will need to go through the GUIDS until you find the one you are looking for, there many be a TON of them. No so that it shows in the add/remove programs window. It will show what ever name that application was given.

antil0ckHow can I change the name of a program in Add/ Remove Programs?On boot up you could go to the root in DOS and rename filename.ext newfilename.ext - remember that doing this is going to screw up things the other files will not find it and it won't run. The side icon will possibly not change also.
