How do you change your name?

Hi,

So I'm wanting name change. I know you must go to your county clerk office to get it filed. However, I'll be moving to another county for college in the fall, and want to get it filed there. Is that okay, or do I have to live for a certain period to able to file a name change in a new county.

Start with clerk of court.

Fill out paperwork, file and pay fees. Meet any specific local requirements. (Sherif/fingerprints/whatever)

Court hearing

Judge ruling

Finding issued, change recorded, paperwork to you to begin

actual change on IDHow do you change your name?EDIT

Ohh %26quot;county%26quot;;...But then again why to wait to be in collage? better change it now before starting collage, that way you wont have to deal with registry complications on your Collage records, and any financial aid you might be getting.
